11th October, Earth - Reports are coming in that police departments in four major American cities have engaged with 'Occupiers' in attempt to make them decamp. One of Occupy Boston's camps was broken up and removed by cops after some 250+ protesters were rounded up into a fleet of police vans. Footage has also been posted showing members of the organisation, "Veterans for Peace" in the fro...nt line of the occupation at the time, being beaten by police.
The coordinated attacks took place during the early hours of this morning Eastern Standard Time. The global audience watching every second on various internet-based live streams, and on the four Facebook 'Occupy' sites, were stunned. The stream, taken from a camera approximately two stories up in a structure diagonally adjacent to the Occupation, bore witness to Boston Police Department arriving in a convoy of cars, motorcycles, and prison transport vans. Officers then marched around the four streets closest to the occupiers until they were completing surrounding them.
A short video, posted within two hours of the police action caught on film the Boston police offer issuing the BPD's final warning before they moved in, followed by the assault.
When the shock had subsided, viewers' reactions varied from expletives, to astonishment, to outrage. Meanwhile, on Occupy Boston's Facebook page, worried people from all over the world kept posting updates just seconds apart, after the organisation had fallen mysteriously silent for more than 20 minutes.
Occupy Boston's last transmission was: "HUGE line of police marching in. Group of about 40 police wearing battlegear helmets and billy clubs walking toward Camp Rose from south station. Police wagons everywhere: http://www.livestream.com/occupyboston"
At time of writing, this transmission had 146 'Likes', and 749 comments and climbing.
Since that point, there has been a steady stream of well-wishes from not only the USA, but all around the planet. The 'Occupy' movement is unarguably international, and for every city in the USA, there is a sister protest being coordinated in every other major city on the planet.
